Hey guys, I'm trying to get a furmeet going for LarkFEST, Saturday, 9/25 in Albany, NY. I've brought it up to several people and they're all showing interest, so come join us! We're going to be meeting at the giant fountain of Moses splitting the red sea in Washington Park, which is close enough to Lark Street that it's not a major walk, and far enough away that we should be able to know who's who. Though LarkFEST starts at 10 AM, we'll probably meet at the fountain at 11 AM, and hang out there for about 15 minutes. Expect difficulties finding parking, and wear some good walking shoes. :-)

| Strong Museum of Play... |

I'm beginning the planning stages of organizing a furmeet to the Strong Museum of Play (a museum dedicated to the various forms of play, especially toys) to spend about 2 hours touring the museum, especially touring its International Center for the History of Electronic Games (yes it includes a museum on video games).
I do not have a date scheduled but yet but I'm looking for late October or November.
If you are interested PLEASE leave a comment so I can get a preliminary idea of how many want to go just based on what I've said here. I'm very curious to know whether a Saturday or a Sunday date is workable. (I have a class on Saturday mornings that doesn't totally interfere with going, just makes Saturdays a little more busy for me)
Currently Single Admission for an adult is $11 (16-62) and for Children $9 (2-15). Depending on how many are interested at this time I can get a group discount, but the discount applies at with a group larger than 10.

YES! Thats right, the pride Parade/ festival/ Picnic is here again! And I totally spaced out and almost forgot about it! D: The Parade is Saturday (the 17th) from 3pm- 4:30pm, the festival is from 4-10pm (the same day), and the Picnic (which I want go to) is Sunday, from 1-7pm. =D http://www.gayalliance.org/pride/events/#picnic
There is a picnic-site decorating contest this year, and I want to win it! "Your picnic site must somehow incorporate the color SILVER. Prizes will be awaded" Quoted from Insider magazine. That color was not mentioned on their website! There may only be a few (hundred) people who know of this! I "aquired" a few reeeeeally nice metalic bags and some clips from work to get an edge. (plus I have have metal plates and such) I'm just say'n, If someone wants to go with, ya really should bring a buncha silver picnic stuff!! =D Call me If ya want to go!! Sorry I was so late in mentioning this was going on!! Please forgive me!!!! D: |

| FOXmas Room Block Now Open |

Hey Fellow Oasis Friends, The room block is open for FOXmas. However, you must call the hotel front desk directly to book your rooms. Their number is 1-585-475-9190. You just call and say you are reserving rooms for FOXmas. It is important that you DO NOT book in any other way as they are blocking our rooms around the event to help us out. If you do not call the front desk, they will not be able to know where to put you... Please give our nice hotel front desk peoples a call and let them get you a room for the FOXmas season! :)

| Rochester Fur Meets |

The Rochester meets are changing. Meets will now be held in public places. I have arranged for Mini golf and Bowling as our first two events. Other events in the works are a dinner and movie night and a coffee shop meet.
Please send an email to Rochester[dot]furry[dot]events[at]gmail[dot]com to be included in the distribution if you have not been already. These events will be open to all furs 18 and up. Please note that some events will require an RSVP and payment in advance due to the nature of the event. With these type of events tag alongs and extra furs will be asked to leave so please make sure your reservation is accurate whenever possible.
Unlike in the past there will be a strict code of conduct distributed and participants will be expected to police themselves and the group so that we do not loose the privilege of holding events at area businesses.

| Lollypop Farm Barktober Fest 9/26 |

| | curious | ] | Myself and 4 others will be suiting at Barktoberfest this year at Lollypop Farm on Saturday September 26. We will be arriving there around 9AM. However two handlers might not be able to make it so I was wondering if there is any one interested in being a handler? Basically assist in carrying water, pointing out tripping hazards (kids, rocks...), taking pictures and if needed answer questions about the costumes.
Also if any one is interested in suiting let me know. I will need to pass your information along to the event coordinator. |
